2018 Undergraduate International Studies Fellowship application now open

The Undergraduate International Studies Fellowship (UISF) supports international study for two undergraduates of color or other students who, because of socioeconomic or other reasons, maybe underrepresented in study abroad programs. UISF recipients are awarded up to $2,500 toward academic research or study in an international setting. Although the fellowship seeks to encourage research in African or African Diaspora countries, there are no restrictions on intended country of study.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are enrolled full-time, in good academic standing, and plan to travel abroad in the summer or fall of 2018 are eligible to apply. Applications are due by March 12, 2018, at 5 pm. Completed applications may be emailed to stonecenter@unc.edu or submitted in person to the Stone Center office, suite 215.
