14th Annual African American History Month Lecture

Dr. Gerald Horne will deliver the fourteenth annual UNC at Chapel Hill African American History Month Lecture on Wednesday, February 21st at 7p.m. Horne currently holds the John J. and Rebecca Moores Chair of History and African American Studies at the University of Houston.

Dr. Horne’s research spans a broad range of subjects including race and race relations, labor and labor history, Japanese and African American relations, civil rights, international relations and socialism in African American and U.S. history. He has also written extensively about the film industry. Dr. Horne received his Ph.D. in history from Columbia University and his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and his B.A. from Princeton University.
