We welcome writer, composer, and director Sylvester Allen Jr. and professor Belle Boggs (Department of English, NCSU), authors of The Legend of Wyatt Outlaw: From Reconstruction through Black Lives Matter (UNC Press/Ferris & Ferris Books, 2026), in conversation with Gene Nichol (UNC School of Law).\nThis work recovers the life and 1870 lynching of Outlaw, a prominent Black business owner and leader in the North Carolina Piedmont.
